Our Retirees

Julia”
Gilja’s Tailored Starlet, ROM
[Ch. Corky’s Tailored To Taste x Krystal’s Baby Dominique]

Julia is the Grand Dame of our house. She needs one major to complete the requirements for her championship. However, her greatest accomplishment is being an incredible producer. Her producing days are now over, but she has 5 champion offspring and 1 pointed; thus Julia has a Register Of Merit Award with the Boston Terrier Club of America. Julia has produced 2 Best in Specialty Show winners and a multi-group placer. Julia is an incredible athlete and her patellas and eyes are normal. Julia has tons of confidence in the ring and reminds me of a runway model. She walks in the ring, tosses her head and strides out expecting all eyes to be on her. I’ve always said that if any dog should wear diamonds, it should be Julia. So, my friend, Peggy obliged with a pink leather collar with Julia’s name in rhinestones (at least they sparkle)!  At 13 1/2 years of age, Julia is still gorgeous and athletic!  Update:  We’ve lost our beautiful Julia.  Gilbert and I were both with her and she was surrounded by one of her daughters, a granddaughter and three great grandchildren.  We loved her so!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Reba”
BISS Ch. Gilja’s Tailored Shoot N Star

(BISS Ch. Gilja’s Tailored Tradition x Gilja’s Tailored Starlet, ROM)

Bred By: Jane F. Cole

Reba picked up the runway model style from her mother, Julia. She’s been lots of fun to show. Reba finished in 2007 from the Bred By Exhibitor class and took a group placement over specials at a show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  The next weekend in Des Moines, IA at the Hawkeye Boston Terrier Club show, she was selected Best In Sweepstakes. And, the next day, she picked up a 5 pt. major, going Best of Winners to stand next to her dad, Lance who took Best of Breed. What a day!

Reba really likes Iowa! The following year at the 2008 Hawkeye Boston Terrier Club show, she won Best of Breed/Best In Specialty Show.

She is a multi-group placer.

She had invitations to the Eukanuba/AKC National Championship show for 2007 and 2008. Reba also was invited to compete in the first ever Boston Terrier of the Year Contest at the 2009 Boston Terrier Club of America National Specialty Show in Connecticut.

Her eyes and patellas are normal.

Reba’s first litter produced one baby boy, Clay. Clay’s father is Kip, Multi BIS Multi BISS Ch. Klassic Irish Prince owned by Beccy Smith. Clay has REALLY big shoes to fill!!!  And he’s on his way; Clay is now Ch. Gilja’s Klassic Tailored Star Prince and is a new father.

Reba’s second and final litter produced  2 beautiful boys and a gorgeous daughter.  Her son Elvis (Gilja’s Tailored — The King) is well on the way to his championship with 10 of the needed 15 points and son Hunk (Ch. Gilja’s Tailored Hunka Hunka Burning Love) is on his way to his Grand Championship with his junior handler, Avery.  Her beautiful daughter, Priscilla (Gilja’s Tailored Love Me Tender) is championship pointed and will stay with us.  The sire of this litter is Ch. Bosart’s Twist N Shout who is a son of our Beetle Bailey.
